Executive Housekeeper Job for Private Estate in the Midwest

The Chace People team is recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for a Midwest-based private UHNW family estate. We are seeking candidates with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. The ideal candidate must excel in managing teams, adapting to dynamic workloads, and solving problems efficiently. Experience supervising 3+ household employees is preferred. This role reports to the House Manager and requires meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.

Job Overview:

The Executive Housekeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the Principals’ residences on the estate to museum-quality standards, supervising household staff, and ensuring seamless service consistent with the high standards expected by the Family. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, and uphold the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the House Manager and household staff with the daily running of the Estate, providing seamless service consistent with the high standards of the Family.
• Maintain an efficient, harmonious, and productive working environment through a hands-on management style, excellent communication, and collaboration with other staff.
• Perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, furniture, antiques, priceless art, marble, silver, brass and more.).
• Coordinate housekeeping schedule to minimise impact to the Principals.
• Provide service and support to culinary and event staff for special events, formal dining, holidays, and family gatherings.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of fine fabrics, materials, and furnishings for proper care and preventative maintenance.
• Management experience in a similar role with a track record of effectively managing household employees.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with staff, Family, and Principals.
• Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed, and travel between properties as requested.
• Proficiency in technology and organisational skills to maintain household inventories and documentation.

Additional Information:

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Eligibility to work within the United States with a US Passport is highly desirable. The right global candidate will be considered with a relocation package.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience working in a similar role for a private family, preferably within the residence of a UHNW family or individual.
• Proficiency in utilising technology.
