Website Migration to Third-Party CMS (Laravel)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled freelancer or agency experienced in Laravel and website migrations to assist us in moving our custom-built PHP website to a third-party Content Management System (CMS). The goal is to transition from our current proprietary CMS to a more flexible and customizable solution.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze our existing website and CMS to understand its structure, functionality, and content management requirements and shortcomings.
- Research and recommend a suitable third-party CMS built on Laravel, such as October CMS, Pyro CMS, or TypiCMS.
- Develop a detailed migration plan, including the timeline, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Migrate the website content, including pages, posts, images, and other media, to the new CMS.
- Customize the chosen CMS to match our existing website design and branding.
- Implement any additional features or functionality required for our website within the new CMS.
- Ensure the migrated website is fully functional, responsive, and optimized for performance.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
- Provide documentation and training to our team on how to manage and update content using the new CMS.
- Some revisions and improvements on the website.
- Improve page speed.
- Replicate the current website with minor changes into a new domain for a sister business website based on the original one (same template, small design adjustments).
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Laravel framework and PHP development.
- Proven experience in website migrations and CMS implementations.
- Familiarity with third-party CMS platforms built on Laravel, such as October CMS, Pyro CMS, or TypiCMS.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to customize and extend CMS functionality using Laravel's APIs and plugins.
- Attention to detail and ability to replicate existing website design and branding in the new CMS.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Portfolio or examples of previous website migrations or CMS implementations.
Duration:
This project is expected to be completed within 4 weeks. The timeline can be further discussed and adjusted based on availability and requirements.
