Candidate Technology

Oplu's candidate tooling is designed around three things candidates in our market consistently tell us matter. Discretion. Clarity. Respect for time.

You should never find out through a third party that you have been put forward for a role. You should never waste an afternoon on an interview for a role that was never a fit. You should know, at any point, where you stand.

OpluVideo

Keeping you one step ahead

OpluVideo is a short video introduction you record as part of the shortlist process. It is usually the first impression a Principal or their representative has of you. Two to four minutes, one or two questions, recorded on your own schedule and uploaded through a private link.

Why it matters. At senior level, CVs converge. What separates candidates is presence, operating style and how you speak when the script is not in front of you. OpluVideo lets clients see that before the first interview rather than deciding on paper alone. That usually means fewer interviews, faster feedback and a better match on both sides.

You review and approve your video before any client sees it. If you want to re-record, you can. Nothing is shared without your sign-off.

OpluPortal

Empowering your recruitment journey

Candidates who are in live process with Oplu have secure access to the same portal environment used by clients, scoped to their own journey. Inside it you can:

  • See the current stage of any Oplu role you are in
  • Upload or update supporting documents with version control
  • Receive written feedback after each stage rather than a one-line email
  • Schedule interviews and referencing calls through a single calendar interface
  • Manage your personal and compensation details without re-sending them

The point is to remove the friction that usually comes with a senior search. No chasing updates. No hunting through inboxes. No sharing sensitive information on open channels.

Candidate Technology FAQs

Most senior shortlists include an OpluVideo stage. It replaces what would otherwise be a first telephone interview and, in our experience, works in the candidate's favour more often than not. If you have a specific concern about recording video, tell us at the first conversation.
