Antonia Edwards, Managing Director
Antonia is Managing Director of Oplu alongside Firat. She founded the business in 2018 as Chace People, which she and Firat rebranded to Oplu in April 2025. She leads recruitment delivery across Private Households & Estates, Family Offices, and Luxury Brands & Hospitality.
A First-Class Honours graduate in Marketing, Antonia built her career in luxury hotels before moving into private concierge at one of the sector's leading global groups. There she set up and ran the group's recruitment arm, placing staff across the private client services market, before leaving to establish her own independent search business.
That operator background shapes how Oplu works with Principals. Every search is scoped, briefed, and led by someone who has built a recruitment business inside and outside the luxury sector, managed international teams, and understood discretion as an operational discipline rather than a marketing promise.
Antonia anchors Oplu's client relationships and oversees search delivery end-to-end. She is based in London and works with Principals and their representatives across the UK, US, and international markets.

Firat Bay, CFA, Managing Director
Firat is Managing Director of Oplu, leading strategy, finance, operations, and resourcing alongside Antonia. He joined in 2021, and in April 2025 the firm rebranded from Chace People to Oplu.
A graduate of Galatasaray High School and Bogazici University in Istanbul, Firat holds a Master's in Finance from the European Business School in Paris and is a CFA charterholder. He spent the decade before Oplu in front office roles across investment banking, credit research, and portfolio management, with positions at Rothschild, Santander, Citi, and four years at Moody's Investors Service covering financial institutions.
He then joined Legal & General Investment Management, initially as an analyst covering financial institutions, where he met directly with CEOs, CFOs, and Chairs at global banks to inform investment decisions, before moving into portfolio management as an active risk-taker in fixed income.
That background shapes how Oplu runs searches. Research and analysis are in the DNA. Investment mandates, carry structures, and governance conversations with CFOs, CIOs, and Family Office Directors are native ground rather than translated material. The same discipline applied to a credit report or a portfolio review becomes the discipline applied to referencing and validating a Principal's next senior hire.

How we work as a team
Oplu is a small team by design. We take on fewer mandates than we could. Every search carries senior attention from start to finish. Handoffs happen between named people who have met the candidate, not between desks.
The principle behind the structure is simple. UHNW recruitment rewards continuity, judgement and discretion. Growth for its own sake damages all three. We scale through better systems, not bigger teams.
