Head Housekeeper – Monaco (Live-Out)

  • Salary: €5,000 - €5,500 / month (net), depending on experience

Job Overview:

A high-profile Principal in Monaco is seeking a skilled and motivated Head Housekeeper to join and support a team of existing two housekeepers in a meticulously maintained private residence. Reporting to a Global Estate Manager, this is a superb opportunity for a senior housekeeper or someone ready to step up and take on more responsibility, with a view to growing into a future House Manager role.

The position is fully hands-on and service-focused, involving all standard Housekeeper duties while also overseeing the smooth running of the household, daily task organisation, and supporting the wider team.

The Principal is in residence for around six months per year, with dates varying. Full flexibility is required when they are present. When away, duties are lighter and focused on upkeep and readiness. Holidays should be taken during this time.

Requirements:

Candidates without the following will not be considered.

  • Previous experience as a Senior (or Head) Housekeeper in private households (team or rota experience preferred)
  • Fluent English speaker; French, Turkish or Russian is a bonus
  • Fully eligible to work in Monaco or the EU
  • Flexible to work irregular hours and weekends as part of a rota
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail
  • Logical, open-minded, and proactive with a service-first mindset
  • Humble, flexible, and able to adapt to changing schedules and requests
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-standard environment
  • Tech-savvy: confident using Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and email
  • Confident in preparing light meals when required
  • Pet-friendly and happy to support dog-related duties
  • Willing and able to travel with the Principal on occasion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all regular Housekeeper duties including cleaning, laundry, and ironing
  • Create and manage rotas, daily schedules, and monthly task charts
  • Oversee household organisation, stock management, and supply ordering
  • Anticipate the Principal’s needs and ensure the home is always guest-ready
  • Welcome guests and serve refreshments with a polished and professional manner
  • Run errands as required, including groceries and basic household admin
  • Supervise maintenance works and liaise with contractors as needed
  • Accompany the Principal on occasional travel and holidays (as required)
  • Support occasional dog care (rare), including walks or vet visits with the dog carer
  • Lead by example in the home, supporting the team and helping them stay on task
