CHESS ASSISTANT & COORDINATOR (UHNWI SUPPORT)

  • FIDE ELO 1500+
  • Hybrid or Remote with International Travel

Job Overview:

An extraordinary opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and intellectually curious Chess Assistant & Coordinator to support an Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individual (UHNWI) in Monaco, with a deep passion for chess. This is a rare and distinctive position combining elite-level personal assistance with the world of competitive chess.

The role involves managing communications, logistics, and coordination at the highest standard, while also engaging the Principal in thoughtful discussions about chess. The successful candidate will have both an analytical mind and the professionalism to operate in an international, fast-paced UHNW environment.

Must-have Requirements:

  • Demonstrable passion for chess, ideally with a FIDE ELO rating of 1500+ or higher.
  • Proven administrative or personal assistant experience, preferably supporting UHNW individuals or senior executives.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Full flexibility for international travel at short notice.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and effectively in dynamic settings.
  • A proactive, professional, and solutions-driven approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Principal’s central point of contact for all chess-related activities and communications.
  • Manage correspondence, WhatsApp groups, and schedules with professional players, coaches, clubs, and associations worldwide.
  • Organise tournaments, events, and travel logistics — including flights, accommodation, and detailed itineraries.
  • Accompany the Principal to international chess tournaments and related events, ensuring seamless on-site coordination.
  • Maintain records and documentation for ongoing chess projects and sponsorships.
  • Monitor global chess developments, player rankings, and results, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Support strategic initiatives to promote and connect with global chess communities.
  • Ensure smooth alignment between the Principal’s chess engagements and wider personal or business commitments.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • A chess enthusiast eager to combine their analytical and organisational strengths.
  • Confident working within UHNW environments, delivering precision and discretion at every level.
  • Curious, articulate, and passionate about both the sporting and cultural aspects of chess.
  • Excited by the opportunity to travel internationally and coordinate world-class events.
  • A natural relationship-builder who thrives in both digital and in-person interactions.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

This position offers a rare intersection between elite-level personal support and the global world of chess. The successful candidate will gain exposure to international tournaments, world-class players, and exclusive events, working closely with a Principal who genuinely supports the growth of the chess community.

If you are passionate about chess and thrive in high-performance environments, this is a career-defining opportunity to turn that passion into a profession.
