- Salary: Dependent on Experience
- Contract: Permanent | Full-Time
- Schedule: Office-based (5 days), with approx. 20% travel
Job Overview:
The Oplu Team is working with a leading global private equity firm to identify an exceptional Executive Assistant to support the Founder. This is a high-impact role at the centre of a dynamic, deal-driven environment where precision, pace, and discretion are essential.
You will serve as the Founder's right hand—taking full ownership of the inbox, managing a complex and ever-shifting diary, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be highly intuitive, able to anticipate needs, and confident enough to make decisions independently. This is an environment where things move quickly, priorities change, and adaptability is key.
The role is predominantly office-based but will require you to accompany the Founder to investor events, annual meetings, and firm off-sites throughout the year—approximately 20% travel. Flexibility and a willingness to go the extra mile are non-negotiable.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience as an Executive Assistant supporting Founders, Managing Partners, or C-suite executives—ideally within private equity, venture capital, asset management, or investment banking.
- 7+ years' EA experience with a track record of increasing responsibility and complexity.
- Proven expertise in inbox and diary management—able to triage high-volume correspondence, coordinate across time zones, and instinctively understand what matters most.
- Degree educated (Russell Group or equivalent preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Highly resourceful and self-sufficient—comfortable solving problems without hand-holding and taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to adapt tone across stakeholders from LPs to deal teams.
- Absolute discretion—this role involves exposure to highly sensitive deal and investor information.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%) for LP meetings, AGMs, and firm events.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Founder's inbox—triaging, flagging, drafting responses, and ensuring timely follow-up on all communications.
- Manage a highly complex diary across multiple time zones, balancing LP meetings, deal discussions, board commitments, and internal priorities.
- Act as the key point of contact for the Founder, handling communications with investors, portfolio company management, and external advisors.
- Prepare briefing packs, meeting agendas, and supporting materials; ensure the Founder is fully prepared for every engagement.
- Coordinate travel logistics and accompany the Founder to key events including investor conferences, AGMs, and firm off-sites.
- Collaborate closely with the wider EA team, Investor Relations, and Operations to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Handle expense processing, record-keeping, and ad-hoc administrative duties.
- Proactively resolve day-to-day issues, escalating only when necessary.
If you are a polished, proactive EA who thrives in fast-paced investment environments and wants to work alongside a Founder building something exceptional, we want to hear from you.
Please note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we regret that we are only able to contact candidates who are successfully shortlisted. If you have not heard from us within 14 days of submitting your application, please assume that you have not been successful on this occasion.
