OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR WELLNESS START-UP IN LONDON

Role Overview:
Reporting to the company founders, the Operations Manager will oversee the daily workings of the business, from production and logistics through to organisational operation. They will assume responsibility for the creation and implementation of schedules to ensure deadlines are met and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workstream, supply and operational alignment.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of product development activity
- Create, validate, and deliver the NPD pipeline.
- Lead relationships with all relevant 3rd party agencies and suppliers, such as development consultants, designers, suppliers and distributors.
- Manage approvals at each key decision point and ensure all stakeholders have the information they need.
- Ensure all deadlines are met and any changes to dates are communicated to all stakeholders.
Supply Chain Management
- Create, implement, and maintain stock and quality management systems.
- Create, implement, and maintain product masterfiles and batch records also ensuring all item data including BOMs, specifications and price files are maintained and accurate.
- Extrapolate sales forecast and manage inventory to ensure optimum stock holding levels.
- Manage supplier performance including cost, quality, and delivery accuracy.
- Ensure Purchase Orders for components, ingredients and finished product manufacture are raised in accordance to lead time and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Create, negotiate and ensure supply agreements are in place with all relevant suppliers.
- Manage delivery and labelling requirements.
- Ensure all import/export requirements and obligations are met.
- Be first person of contact for all customer queries, ensuring the safe fulfilment and delivery of orders, tracking of parcels, and managing returns/refunds.
Organisational operation management
- Plan and continuously review workloads to ensure sufficient resources are available across the business.
- Manage external agencies, retailers and subcontractors across product development, logistics and supply chain.
- Ensure interdependencies between activities are clear and stakeholders are aware of all relevant information.
The Ideal Candidate:
As the ideal candidate you will have an end to end understanding of supply chains and at least 2+ years operational management experience, ideally within the food/beverage sector. You’ll get stuck-in to get things over the line with a focus on doing what is needed in a start-up environment.
