The Chace People team is looking for a creative, native Spanish speaking Teacher/Nanny for our returning ultra-high net worth client in Wellington, Florida.

This is a full-time position and you will be responsible for two children aged between 4 and 8 years old, working as part of a wider childcare team with a full-time Nanny. You will provide learning opportunities where both children can further and perfect their Spanish language skills. Lessons should be provided out and about, mostly through play and not sitting down at the table.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a former teacher who has private household experience (either having transitioned from teaching, or as a private tutor), and who would appreciate the chance to deliver lessons outside of the usual classroom environment. This is a permanent position which will see you working closely with the current childcare team.

A Teacher/Nanny who is bright, discreet and grounded, with the right can-do attitude and educational background is needed. US visa holders are preferred and the ideal candidate will live locally to the Wellington area for ease of commuting. You will join a growing and supportive household with an amazing HR structure behind it and you will be an excellent team player.

As the ideal candidate you will be:

  • Discrete and highly professional
  • Educationally focused with a creative approach
  • Able to navigate the changing schedules of the children and Principals
  • Detail-oriented and flexible, organised and upbeat at all times
  • Able to anticipate needs and quick to read people
  • Sporty (swimming is a must, skiing would be a plus)
  • Can-do attitude with the ability to think ahead
  • Happy to work in a team with Mum and other team members
  • At least 3 years solid experience in a high-profile household is a must, with an educational background in a school environment
  • A confident driver with their own car to drive to and from property

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Planning educational activities to enhance and develop Spanish language skills for the children
  • Dropping off and picking up the children from school (you will be provided with a car and will be put on the insurance)
  • Taking the children to extracurricular activities and classes
  • Travelling with the family, packing for the children and organising activities pre- and during travel
  • Organising the children’s playroom and toys, and purchasing appropriate materials for projects
  • Helping the children with homework and reading
  • Sourcing presents for children’s birthday parties and organising logistics/driving the children
  • Liaise with other team members in regards to schedules, meal times, menus and organisation

The family travels from May to the end of August each year and so you will alternate with your colleagues to accompany them at this time, as well as having the opportunity to take your own annual leave. From September to April each year the family primarily spends their time in US with shorter trips abroad and domestically.

This is a full-time permanent position and a complete package (including medical, holidays and sick pay) will be provided.

Interviews and trials are taking place immediately with the notion of an October 2023 start.

If this sounds like the right role for you, then please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note that candidates with relevant experience and excellent, checkable references need only apply.
