The Chace People team is seeking a passionate and ambitious young Sous Chef to work in a beautiful family villa in St Tropez. The chosen candidate will report to the family’s Head Chef and the Property Manager and will be joining an existing domestic staff team. This role would be best suited to a chef with Private Household experience and / or Yachting experience, looking to come shore based. The position is also open to candidates from hotel and restaurant backgrounds who exceed expectations and who can demonstrate excellence in their work.

 

By joining our VVIP client’s household, you will consider your craft as your art and will assist the Head Chef in fulfilling a variety of day-to-day responsibilities. Your focus will be on health-conscious menus and Mediterranean cuisine, and you will approach your duties with a hands-on and can-do attitude.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Assisting in menu planning alongside the Head Chef
  • Helping prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family
  • Preparing staff meals
  • Assistance with food shopping and kitchen provisioning/stock control
  • The highest standards of cleaning and organising of all kitchen amenities and utensils

We are looking for candidates who are available to interview and for a 4-week paid trial ASAP with a view to starting straight away thereafter.

 

What can I expect on the job?

 

Your working week will require flexibility to accommodate the household's schedule.

 

This is a live-in position with accommodation provided for at the Villa.

 

As a successful candidate, you will provide a taster menu and undergo a 4-week trial before a permanent contract is offered.
