FEMALE HOUSE MANAGER FOR ULTRA HIGH NET WORTH RESIDENCE IN CENTRAL LONDON

  • £70,000 - £90,000 gross p.a. (DOE)
  • Permanent Contract

The Chace People team is actively looking for an experienced female House Manager with Butler/formal service skills to oversee the smooth daily running of a large residence in Central London. You must be a self-starter who is experienced and confident in running a busy, mid-scale operation, have the ability to liaise at all levels, be very hands-on and have excellent attention to detail.

 

You will be expected to provide daily support to an international Principal when in residence (approximately 3-4 months in total per year) and will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the property including managing the small team of permanent staff, monitoring the property daily, reporting any maintenance issues, ensuring the property is visit ready at all times (visits are occasionally at short notice), as well as administration and preparing reports.

  

Duties include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Manage permanent staff to ensure very high standards and the property is always visit ready
  • Assist in the recruitment of temporary staff, ensure teams are trained and prepared prior to the Principal’s arrival
  • Provide guest and front of house service when required
  • Event organising from dinner parties to social events
  • Check and monitor property daily to ensure all is in good order and working. Report any issues to the maintenance team
  • Administration and budget control
  • Manage household inventories and keep them updated
  • Health and Safety
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of all equipment and systems including telephones,  TV/cable, air conditioning systems, power supply systems, water supply systems, heating systems, security systems, plumbing and sewage systems
  • Purchase materials/supplies for the household.
  • Keep accurate records of all household activities e.g., maintenance, purchases, and record to the family office                                       
  • Assist the office with any duties in relation to the property or the family
  • Assist the travelling staff team when the family are in residence to ensure they are provided for.

 

Essential Criteria:

 

  • At least 5 years of House or Palace Manager experience supporting an international, UHNW family
  • Exposure running mid - large scale operations and teams
  • Operationally focused and tech-savvy
  • Proactive, hands-on, motivated, enthusiastic, personable, organised, strong eye for detail and well presented
  • Culturally aware
  • A good all-rounder with common sense
  • Fluent English – spoken and written
